Unknown Struggle of a Teacher

Teachers are the foundation of a society. They are portrayed by these names as National builder, Craftsman, Guide, Guru. But ever you thought that they too would have their own personal life what would that be like?

Generally, a common strike has been made, who do not get any job, they become teachers. But if you had no teachers, then where would you have the job options? Because for job options. The teacher only prepares you. There is only one teacher who makes Engineers, Doctors, Fashion Designers, Beauticians, Dancers, Singers, Players. High Qualification is required to become a Teacher.

I would like to draw your attention. Always full of enthusiasm, enthusiastic, full of expectations, happy mood, very fresh, when a teacher walks out of his house towards the school, he feels like a relaxing life. And if a teacher adorns the teacher's saree, lipstick, bag, perfume smell and smile. As it is also very important to make herself presentable or else, she will reject by the students because of her unpresentable personality. Leads to her destination. And we believe ah! they there a lot of life?

But have you ever thought that behind this adorns how much struggle is there, have you ever thought of it? I would like to say that a Teachers life is full of struggle. In one-way in all work there is a struggle, but you cannot neglect this thing that Teachers are the real strugglers. May be this thought surprised you. But this is the fact.

Because in this profession, 2 things are very important. One Teachers are dealing with human brains. On the other hand, there is desperate, negativity, struggle are the part of Teachers life. My self-experience is that a Teachers self-struggle keep on continuously.

Schools time is morning 7:00 am but the Teachers day start at early morning at 4:00 am with kitchen works. Then from 7:00 am to 1:40 pm is class and then School bell. but hey please wait. School is over only for the students and not for the Teachers. Now 1 ½ hours extra class in pending for those students who keeps less marks in the exam. After that 2 or 2 ½ hour another work, lesson planning, notebook correction, class test paper correction, question paper making, busy in register maintaining. I would like to say that a teacher’s struggle is not visible which runs into his mind. With big pride I would like to say that Teaching job itself is a very rewarding profession but is full of difficulties and conflicts.

Then what are teachers’ common struggles? By the way in all job there is a time struggle, but in teaching job its more.

1.    Time Struggle

Reaching school before time, present in the at exact time, completing the syllabus in time, submitting the question paper in time, conducting exams in time, correcting answers papers in time, result preparation, all programs in time, all events in time, cocurricular activities, sports, Annual functions, picnic, exhibition etc. A teacher getting involved in longer duration of work struggles to create harmony in personal and professional life. 

2.    Struggling with Negativity

Unfortunately, many times a teacher has to struggle with the negativity at their workplace. Being positive against the negativity hurts a lot. 

3.    Classroom Management

In a classroom there are students from different background and different culture are seated together. This a very Challenging for a Teacher in maintaining balance treatment and along with the studies maintaining the disciplined in the class. Teaching students of different thought process and with different mindset students, at a same time is struggle. 

4.    Struggle to control Emotion

Many times, students Many times students talk, indiscipline behavior makes the Teacher angry is a common phenomenon, but in such situation a Teacher to maintain patience and stability has to struggle with his emotions. 

5.    Dealing with Parents

Many times, parents get very sensitive towards their children, and this is a common feeling. Often parents think that their child is a perfect child. So, in such a delicate situation, teacher must balance this situation with a great struggle. Which is really a difficult task. 

6.    Dealing with Society

Many times, you have to deal with negative thought and discussion with the society by just giving a smile against their negativity is a great struggle. And many times, listing to their unwanted suggestions with patience and unwillingly accepting their unnecessary suggestions. And behind his YES, there only one thing and that is, teaching is such a profession where you have to present yourself as an example in the society. And you do not want to debate or comment on any unnecessary suggestion which is against the dignity of this profession. And you too don't want to harm the dignity of this profession. 

7.    Under Paid

Struggling with shortage of money and a longer list of need bothers your mind a lot. Though being highly qualification get materialized then your heart comes out. This pain increases more when the society treat you as a poor teacher. 

8.    Excess of Work

Because of which Teachers family life and social life gets hampered a lot. A Teacher when is at home. Then also he is busy with schoolwork’s. Many times, there are calls from the students and event by the parents too. They have their doubts. Teachers with the same energy, and with same enthuse reply to their calls and clear their doubts. How much tired they be, or busy they be, son in one way this has become 24 hours job. Standing and teaching for a longer duration and because of excess of work they get very less sleep and being in tiredness they start having health problems. 

9.    Criticism

Teachers always are victims of many criticisms. Out of which the most common is less marks and percentage of a student. For this the straight blame is given to the Teachers. And on other hand if the achieve good percentage marks forget about the credit, they even do not think of sending a note or message of thanks to the Teacher. For which the Teachers are fully entitled. 

10. Lack of leisure time

Common believe if that a teachers get a lot of holidays. But this believe if totally wrong. Whenever there is a holiday teacher are busy with the students work. Paper corrections, question paper making, lesson planning more over in summer vacation there are extra class, conducting exams in collage and universities, correction their answers papers, correcting their assignments, and that too after travelling 30 - 40 Km distance to reach the centers. And returning home in the late evening, this struggle make you tired so much that a common person cannot understand it.

Often students treat their teachers their role model. In such case the responsibility of a teacher increases. They have to justify the character of a Role Model. They always have to be presentable, perfect, and up to date. Moreover, the High School Teachers responsibilities increases more because the students are reaching the teens, where along with the physical development, mental development is also taking place. In such case Teachers have to be sometimes a friend, and sometimes be in a mother’s role. Sometimes treat the students being tough, and sometimes being very soft. Apart from all this challenges a teacher must keep maintaining their dignity too. On other hand providing knowledge being a teacher and providing culture, in the mode of social values and moral values. Showing path at every diversion and ready to hold the hands of a student is the answering to all the silly question of a students and being the guide till the end is the role of a teacher. In the right sense a teacher develops the student as a potter.

Go and find my religion, under this book. I pray in temple and mosque from the same book. and it’s me who develop the system habit of hard work and it’s me who create the future today. To smell as perfume, is not my wish but desire is to be happy with my character.
